What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

Question: My son"s (25 yrs old) test report shows: WBC=5.5, RBC=5.75, Hemoglobin=15.9, Platelets=61 thousands, Sugar Random=161mg/dl, Total Bilirubin=3.2, Direct Bilirubin=2.0, Indirect Bilirubin=1.2mg/dl, SGOT= 200U/L, SGPT= 244 U/L Dengue IgM/Dengue NS1/HCV/ HBsAg/ HAV are Negative. The physician says that My son is Having Jaundice in the preliminary level...under medication...Please clarify the reasons for High SGOT/SGPT and lower Platelets..

Many thanks for yr quick reply. Please find below the details required in yr email.
1 & 2: He had fever from 7th Nov till 10th Nov in Pune/India where He is working. I don't have the details of the medicines that He had at that time. I called him back to our native place Thanjavur/India.
3: The medicines that currently He is taking is attached now. These are all prescribed after seeing his test results.
4: There is no bleeding from Anus site/no petechiae.
Hope I have given all the details.

Hi. The most probable diagnosis is fever with thrombocytopenia with hepatitis and the most common cause these days being dengue fever or dengue like other viral fever.
Most important here is to take Paracetamol only for fever.
Get his daily platelet counts and if they fall below 50,000 get him admitted.
These days this kind of viral fever persists for 7-10 days and the recovery rate is quite good if managed properly.
