Brief Answer:
need control of diabetes and gradual tapering of codeine

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back to us.

Your report is showing high HB1ac and high average blood sugar. These suggest uncontrolled diabetes. First of all there is urgent need to control this high sugar and for that you need to show these reports to your physician. Other reports are within normal limits. At present you need to avoid high calorie diet and sweets. Proper diet guidance will be given by your doctor in relation with treatment.

You are taking codeine since 5 years and 2-3 bottles in a day. You can reduce the dose gradually and stop it. Every 5th day you can reduce 10% dose. With this approach you can stop codeine within 1 and half months. In this approach you are not going to have withdrawals or very less withdrawals and for that your physician can give you require medicines.

If you want to stop codeine cold turkey you need to consult psychiatrist as it needs withdrawal management with different medicines according to severity and psychiatrist is by degree a de-addiction specialist. You can consult psychiatrist for the same.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
