What Does My Blood Test Report Indicate?

Question: Just received my lab results for blood work and won't be back to doctor for 2 weeks. After these results, they are referring me to hematologist. High White Blood Count , High PLT - Platelet Count, High NE # - White Blood Count , High MO% - Monocyte Percentage, High LY# - Immune System, High EO%, High BA%, Low ALT - Liver Function, Low FT4
My question is, is it possible that a hypothryroid could be the root of all of these abnormal blood results?

Thank you for your query on HCM. I did review your question. Ideally Hypothyroid state does not cause an increase in white blood cell count and high basophils and eosinophils. I need to see your complete hemogram reports with exact values to comment better. I just uploaded the report here. Some of my symptoms are that I don't sleep well, I am extremely fatigued the majority of the time. My joints are stiff and achy, especially when I get up in the morning. My fingers tend to swell also. My torso/upper chest is sore as well. Almost feels like something is inside my chest that shouldn't be there. I began taking Zoloft a couple of years ago and have gained around 60 lbs since then. My current weight it 225 and I'm 5'6". I have an increased appetite.
This blood work was all recently done and Dr. concluded that I had a hypothyroid and prescribed Synthroid 50 MCG Tablet but I haven't started taking it yet. Just got it today. Dr. also referred me to a hematologist but I haven't seen them yet.

Thank you for your reply query and reports.
Your blood report is essentially normal with only minor aberrations which can be addressed by a hematologist. I am however confident that your blood report is nothing to worry about.

Your thyroid function tests indicate a low T4 and normal T3 and TSH. This can be seen in people with other nonthyroidal sickness also and does not necessarily mean you are hypothyroid. Also all your problems cannot be attributed to hypothyroid state. I would recommend to consult your doctor regarding a repeat testing and then starting on the synthyroid pills.

Your problems seem to be stiffy and achy joints in the morning with fatigue. This can be classically seen in Rheumatoid arthritis or other immunological joint problems. Although your ANA and Rheumatoid factor seems to be normal but your ESR is on higher side. I would recommend you consult a rheumatologist and he will then hopefully begin the investigations which would ideally include xray of your fingers, and some blood test including anti-CCP for proper diagnosis and then treatment.

Your other reports including electrolytes and Liver and kidney tests are essentially within normal range. Zolof is a medication that can cause weight gain and you can consult your doctor if you can slowly taper and get off that medication if you no longer need it.
