what does this mean?
Brief Answer:
Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern.
The size of the nodular density is very small i.e 0.5 cm. 75 % of solitary nodular densities are not malignant but are benign.
Features that indicate a benign nodularity include
Age less than 35
non smoker
lesion less than 2 cm large
smooth distinct margins
typical calcifications
In such low risk patients , follow up CT scans are done to see for any un usual growth, in high risk ones, lesion is removed and tissue diagnosis is confirmed.
Let me know if you have any query
wishing you best of health
Thanks
