What Does My Complete Blood Count Report Indicate?

Considerations
Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.
Regarding your complete blood count this reading of 9.5 does not indicate any active disease process including chronic lymphocytic leukemia. There is a certain degree of variation in laboratory testing and I am sure if you had your blood count checked again the MPV in the next laboratory check might be different then the mostrecent reading.
Sometimes we can see elevation of MPV when platelet count is low from from an immune process which causes consumption of platelets. In your case with the normal account, normal hemoglobin and normal platelet count this reading does not have significance and does not indicate any ongoing disease process.
thanks again for sending your question and please except some reassurance regarding this recent blood test results. I would have another blood test again in one year with your next physical.
Thanks again,
Dr. Galamaga
