Brief Answer:
Are you sure your creatinine isn't .80?

Detailed Answer:
A normal range for serum (blood) creatinine for women is 0.6 to 1.2 mg/dL. So I am thinking maybe your certain is 0.80? In that case it would be normal. See if that is the case, and also what units it is measured in for comparison. The usual units are milligrams (mg) per deciliter (dl).

A urine test for creatinine has a different normal range: 11 to 20 mg per kg of body mass per day for women.

Creatinine tests are useful for seeing how well the kidneys are working. If a CT scan is going to involve contrast, a creatinine test will be measured to make sure the kidneys can handle the contrast material well.

So please check your results again and see what units it is in.

Thanks,
B. Berger-Durnbaugh, MD
