Question: doctor i have hsv 1 <0.91 and hsv2 <5.00 what does this mean? nurse said it is asystemic also, but told me not to worry- iam worried.

For every laboratory assay test there would be a 'cut off' value mentioned in the testing kit manual. Any value below the cut off value is considered as negative and any value above that cut off value is positive. At the same time the titre value either below or above have no significance with regards to the severity of that disease. In your question you had not mentioned the 'cut off' value for the test. If it is '1', then your HSV 1 value is negative and HSV 2 value is considered to be positive. There are different values for both with IgG and IgM for any infection, including HSV, which can denote whether it Is a new or old infection.
