What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?
Likely benign lesion and requires follow up
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. There is a soft tissue lesion in the region of right ovary that measures 27 x 25 x 24 mm and is a rounded benign lesion.
2. The exact nature of the lesion is difficult to confirm. However it is not a serious concern.
3. An ultrasound scan of pelvis is recommended to get a clear information. It is most likely one of the benign lesions in the ovary including hemorrhagic cysts and masses.
4. Under standard procedure, if there is pain then you should consult a doctor and take symptomatic medicine.
5. With this size there is no requirement of surgery. You might do the ultrasound again after 3 months. Depending on the complex nature of the lesion, your doctor will tell you to do additional test.
Hope your query is answered
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
