Hello Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have been detected to have Enlarged Prostate (42 gms)
The modality of treatment in enlarged prostate is decided on following factors .
1) Severity of voiding symptoms like Frequency for urination ,nocturnal frequency ,urgency etc ,
2) Volume of the Post Void Residual urine
Normally patient with moderate symptoms are prescribed
1) Combination of Tomsulosin and Dutasteride once daily
2) Prophylactic antibiotic like Nitrofurantoin or Norflloxacin twice daily .
3) Darifenacin once daily if one has urgency .
4) Repeat Ultrasound Scanning every three months
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
