What Does My Lab Test Report Indicate?
Question: What does my lab test report indicate?
Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
I carefully reviewed your tests reports and would explain that your fasting sugar levels are slightly elevated.
I recommend repeating the test and perform HbA1C too, in order to rule in/out possible diabetes.
Your blood electrolites (sodium and chloride) are slightly under the normal ranges, but this is nothing serious. You just need to slightly increase salt intake in your diet.
There is no disc on your uploaded files. I would be happy to review your tests reports. (If it is a CT scan or ultrasound, you can upload the medical report, so I can give another medical opinion).
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
I carefully passed through the test reports uploaded in the query direct to Dr.Ditah and would explain as follows:
1- Your blood tryglicerides are high, but your cholesterol levels and total cholesterol/HDL ratio are normal. This means that you need to take treatment directed mainly to tryglicerides. Atorvastatin is a good drug, but more helpful to reduce cholesterol levels.
I recommend discussing with your attending physician on the possibility of switching to fenofibrate, which is more appropriate based on your blood lipid profile.
2- Your fasting glucose and HbA1C have resulted high. This means that you are at a high risk of diabetes. I recommend modifying your diet (start diabetic diet) and consult with an endocrinologist.
A close monitoring of fasting glucose and repeating HbA1C after 3 months is necessary.
All the other tests have resulted normal.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Wishing all the best,
