Brief Answer:
Alcoholic liver disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Jyothi BL and I will be answering your query.

Looking at the reports, my opinion is as follows:

1. Your liver enzymes specifically GGT and ALT are elevated. It possibly indicates alcohol related injury. It is still in early stage.

2. Your lipid profile is abnormal. Specifically triglycerides. It needs to be controlled. Weight reduction, exercise, fiber rich diet along with medications may be necessary.

3. Vit D is reduced. Good sun exposure should improve. If necessary, supplements can be taken.

4. Your hematological profile is also near normal limits, except for a mild increase in eosinophils. Possible dust allergy.

5. All other reports are near normal and need not be worried for now. Importantly medications, or alcohol or diet causing liver injury needs to be controlled and withdrawn to prevent further injury.

6. You might be exposed to pollution due to smoking or outdoor pollution. You need to reduce it to improve your blood counts as well as eosinophils and respiratory functions.
Further correlation of liver function tests with body mass index is necessary for evaluation of fatty liver, if no alcohol is present in history.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Dear Dr. XXXXXXX

I agree with you on the Early Stage of Alcohol related Liver Damage.

However, my consumption of alcohol also isn't much (as in 4-5 times in a week and that to 3-4 smalls in 2 Hrs time).
Anyways, I think my liver isn't capable of taking that even.

I am not overweight. I am 64Kgs & Height 5ft 4".

Now, Pls specify/brief me the about medicines to be taken.

1. I have already started LIV-52 twice daily (After Breakfast & After Dinner)
2. I have already Started D-Rise (will take 1 sachet/day for next 3-4 days and then once every week for a month and then once every month)
3. Pls guide me about the above mentioned dosages. Are they fine?
4. Also, pls brief me about the Homeopathy Medicines to be taken for long term

Thanks & Regards XXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Continue treatment, additionally change lifestyle

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for asking again.

The alcohol dose, if very occasional (social drinking) would not have shown these liver changes. Possibly your liver is not able to cope out. You need to avoid alcohol, to prevent further progression. As any progression can lead to cirrhosis, which is irreversible and might lead onto liver failure.

The medications are fine and you can continue with the dosage prescribed.

Additionally, you can include certain life style changes like:
1. Aerobics exercises, walking, jogging etc
2. Nutritional diet rich in fibers
3. Fish oil capsules and Niacin (vitamin B3) medication can be taken to control lipid levels.
4. In future, maybe after 6 months, if your lipid profile is still abnormal, you can take medications like Bezafibrate to control lipid levels.
5. Avoid any sort of hepatotoxic drugs. Any medications prescribed, look into it carefully for any possibility of hepatic damage.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
