What Does My Pathology Report Suggest?

My path report is: Endometroid adencarcinoma: stage 1a; grade 2
invasion 0.1 cm in a 1.4cm myometrium
no lympovascular invasion identified
The slides were sent to University of Iowa where they upgraded the Grade to 2 based on nuclear cytology.
Originally I was told no further treatment was necessary and no there is some talk that I could get radiation therapy. What do you think.
No need of extra radiation therapy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
You DON'T require any further treatment on Endometrial Carcinoma Stage 1A / Grade 2. You have gotten the RIGHT treatment.
Radiation therapy has several health hazards if given WITHOUT proper indication and it will decrease quality of life to some extent if used in the benefit of doubt.
At this stage, lymph node DOESN'T involve at all and further assessment is NOT required if previously NOT done. Don't be worried much.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and take care yourself.
Regards,
Dr S Patra
