Brief Answer:
You have organ confined cancer of Prostate .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the facts and report of your Prostate biopsy you seem to have Grade one organ confined cancer of the prostate .

Prostate cancer is a very slow growing cancer however you need to get following basic tests done
1) C.T Scan of abdomen and Pelvis to trace out spread to any lymph node

Since it is a organ confined disease it is always advisable to go either for Radiotherapy or surgery of Radical Prosatectomy .

You need to consult qualified Urologist for further mode of treatment .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Hi Dr. XXXXXXX

Thanks for advice - two more questions

Is CT scan reliable at finding cancer spread - do they also do MRI ?

Brief Answer:
Both C.T Scan and M.R I are equally effective do detect spread .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up .

Both CT and MRI are equally effective to detect spread of the disease .

Cancer of the prostate is very slow growing cancer and patient never dies because of cancer itself and can live for years .It is the complications like spread to bones or other organs that decides the fate of the patient and survival .

Thanks and Regards.
