What Does My Radiology Report Indicate?
Question: Hi the patient has severe pain in the abdomen, the radiology report says :
Gallbladder appears well distended. Wall thickness is increased(10.2mm). E/o multiple hyper echoic foci are seen in lumen of gall bladder the largest measuring 8.8, 7.8 mms with posterior acoustic shadowing. No e/o diverticulum / pericholecystic fluid
Impression : Cholelithiasis with cholecystitis, Pelvic inflammatory diesease
Question : Is severe pain under the above circumstance normal in gall bladder stone of about 9mm? Is there any threat to life or can the surgery wait? Doctor in a rural district has suggested to take Z-Pain and Operactum and suggested to go back home and come back of surgery after swelling reduces(?). Patient has missed periods for the past 3 months
