What Does My Semen Analysis Indicate?

Question: Hello, very nice to speak with you again. Here are the details of a semen analysis from last year that concern me.
I wrote a few days ago about my concerns that the finasteride I have been taking for years might be responsible for my high viscosity and motility issues. You reassured me and said an infection may well be the cause and not to be overly worried, and that the drugs had no bearing. My urologist told me the motility was only slightly abnormal and that the viscosity can vary and not to worry. I did find the complete report and listed the items below for you. Can you please review this and let me know if I'm okay based on what you see? I want someday to have children and I greatly appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Very reassuring doctor. Thank you. It is great to have somebody to ask these questions to. What could cause my semen to be so very think and not liquify? I do notice it has a syrup-like consistency even hours later. I note that the rapid motilty rate is only 6.00 and total motility indicated as 38% though my sperm count is high overall. These appear low from what I read on the internet.
So in your opinion, I am considered a fertile man?
Brief Answer:
yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Yes. You are definitely a fertile man. The thick consistency is probably due to Infection of semen.
You need to give semen for culture and sensitivity test. Then you can take antibiotics based on report. Its a minor infection and can be treated by taking antibiotics.
Dont worry about fertility. You are fertile.

Thank you very much and I am so pleased and relieved to hear this! If I may trouble you for another question: if I cease taking the finasteride (for hair loss) how long can I expect it to take my body to return to normal, particularly DHT and other important hormone levels? I have heard some men's bodies never recover.
Brief Answer:
No
Detailed Answer:
Hi
You have wrong information. Finasteride will not cause damage to sperm. Once u ou stop the medicine other effects become normal in a month
