The sperm analysis is abnormal and you need further tests.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for contacting Healthcaremagic.
The above semen analysis is abnormal. The liquefaction time is slightly above normal. Total sperm count is low and motility is also low.
In the first instance, I would like to know the following details
1)your age - as age related decline in semen quality is well known.
2) have you got any pain or other problems in your testicles or abdomen
3) Any pain or discomfort in passing urine
4) Any difficulty in passing urine
5) Any operations you have had in the past
6) Are you on any medications
7) Have you had any recent illness with fever
8) Do you smoke or consume excess alcohol
I would advice you to repeat the semen analysis after not ejaculation for 72 hours and if the test is still abnormal then I would advice further tests - blood tests for male hormone profile- LH, FSH, Total testosterone, SHBG, prolactin and oestradiol and ultrasound of testes.
The treatment to be given depends on the results of the tests. Getting pregnant is still possible with this sperm count but the chances are low.
I would advice you to take vitamin supplements containing zinc in the meantime, avoid wearing tight underclothes, avoid bathing in hot water.
Hope that answers your query. Please get back to us if further information is needed.

Stop smoking and take multivitamins
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr Suresh
Thank you for getting back to me with further information.
The only thing from your history that can affect sperm count is smoking and possibly alcohol. It is reassuring that you have not got any other problems.
I would advice you to undergo the tests detailed above and start on multivitamins containing zinc, use loose undergarments and avoid bathing in hot water.
Stopping smoking altogether and decreasing alcohol should help. Eating Figs has also been described to help with sperm count but not proven by any studies. A general healthy diet with plenty of vegetables should help.
If the tests are normal and you follow the advice given, it is likely the sperm count will increase. If any of the tests are abnormal then the treatment has to be given for it -for e.g if there is a condition called varicocele detected on ultrasound then it needs to be sorted out by surgery. If there are hormonal abnormalities then it need to be addressed by medications.
Hope that answers your questions.
