What Does My Semen Analysis Report Suggest?

Question: Hello Doctor,

I've done a semen analysis today. The report says
Total Sperm count - 38 million/ml,
Active Motile - 45%, Sluggish Motile - 30%, Non-Motile - 25%.
Morphology (Normal 75%, Abnormal 25%).
Pus Cells - 12-14/hpf
Are these numbers good? Any treatment needed?

I understand your concern..

Nothing is mentioned about liquefaction time.. Is it less than 30 minutes?

Semen analysis report is normal except that there is 12-14 pus cells which indicates you have infection which can be treated with a course of antibitics. Repeat semen analysis is required to see whether the infection has subsided. Otherwise count and motility is normal.

Antibiotics including tetracycline group of drugs ,that is doxycycline is prescribed for pyospermia. Please always consult your doctor and get yourself examined prior to taking any medication.
