What Does My Stress Echocardiogram Report Indicate?
Question: My father is having Fatigue & Weakness since last 2 months. He is also not feeling hungry during this period & eating very less food. Due to this, his weight has gone down by 3 kg in last 2 months.
We have got the 'Blood Test' & 'Stress Echo' done & reports are attached.
Please have a look in attached reports & suggest:
1) Do you see any issue? If yes, what problems do you see?
2) Any suggested medicine to recover from the above problem?
3) Any other test you want to get performed?
Additionally I want to mention that he has little swelling in foot since last 2 months.
Appreciate your help in my father's speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
Upload blood reports
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I have seen your report stress Echo, I guess you have not uploaded blood report.
ECHO report is normal except it shows mild LVH (Left ventricular hypertrophy) which indicates long lasting high blood pressure, this is not a problem since his ejection fraction is good.
I would like to ask you few more details,
Any history of gastric problem or liver problem?
Any history of recent illness or infection?
How about his bowel movements?
Kindly get back to me with details.
Thank you.

Hello Doctor,
I have re-uploaded both the reports. "BloodTestReport-UCB.pdf" uploaded by me, has 9 pages and this is what I got for blood test. It includes following tests:
- HbA1c
- Diabetic Screen (2)
- Hemogram (28)
*AMYLASE
- Electrolytes Profile (2) - Sodium, Chloride
- Iron Deficiency Profile (3)
- Kidney/Renal Profile (5) - Calcium, Uric Acid, Urea, Creatinine
- *LIPASE
- Thyroid Profile (3) - T3, T4, TSH
- Liver Profile (10)
I am still waiting for 'Lipid Profile (7)' report.
There are various parameters listed in report, few are not in the defined range.
No recent fever or infection in last 6-7 months.
Urine problem has not not reported, except urine is yellow since last 2 months.
I am not sure what is causing him low hunger and too much weakness, but I appreciate your help in his recovery.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Explanation of all reports
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
I apologizes for delayed response.
I have gone through all reports.
HbA1c is higher on side for good control, but nothing to worry.
Blood count : Total count is slightly decreased which may indicates mild illness or infection in body. Easinophil count is increased, it may due to allergy.
His Hemoglobin level is low 7.6, which indicates Anemia.
Serum iron level is elevated and and saturation levels is increased, since iron levels are increased, then anemia may be due to Vitamin B12 deficiency other than Iron deficiency. High serum iron may be due to Vitamin B12 deficiency or liver inflammation.
Serum Calcium is slightly reduced.
Serum Lipase is elevated as per lab reference, it is vary from one lab to other l If it is elevated also it may be due to his medications.
Liver function tests: Some values like bilirubin and sgot are slightly elevated. It may due to inflammation of liver or fatty liver.
Thyroid: within normal limits
Because of low hemoglobin, your father is feeling weakness and appetite is decreased.
After going through your reports, I suggest you visit your treating doctor and also get investigations done like vitamin B 12 , Vitamin D, hepatitis test and Ultrasound scan.
If you have any queries I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello Nithin,
I would suggest you repeat the lipid profile test, it may be due to insufficient sample or lab error.
Lower lipid level can be due to anemia or liver inflammation but these are out of range so kindly repeat the test.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Need not to take any medication
Detailed Answer:
Hello Nithin,
I have seen reports. At least this report shows exact values.
Triglycerides, VLDL, LDL, all these are bad cholesterol which are less than given value in reference is good for patients with history of heart disease. These lower levels may be due to medication and diet.
The Only thing is HDL (Good cholesterol) which is decreased, it should be more than 40, but this is not big concern, it can be increased by eating omega 3 fatty acids contains food and 30 minutes brisk walk per day.
The main concern about your father is anemia which should be treated.
I suggest you visit your treating doctor.
If you have any quereis I will be happy to help you.
Thank you.
