What Does My Thyroid Function Test Report Indicate?
Question: I am 49 years old lady diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in the year 2017. I have undergone Iodine therapy last month. I have not taken any medication for Thyroid till now.
My test results follows:
T3 - 1.27 ng/mL
t4 - 14.10 mcg/dL
TSH - <0.015 mcIU/mL.

Hi,
I had gone through your question and understand your concern
“As” per your report you have been diagnosed correctly and it indicates hyper thyroidism and you have taken iodine therapy last month which is a safe treatment procedure now a days and it will take minimum 3 month to maximum 6 month to be effective and make gland under active.so no pill is required now and your doctor will see your response first and will decide about pill later.The most common pills which we prescribe to our patient is [propylthiouracil and methimazole].so no need of medication right now.
Do take calcium 1200 mg per day and do regular exercises
