What Does My Thyroid Test Report Indicate?

Need additional tests like cortisol, electrolytes, free thyroid hormones
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. Good day. I understand your concerns.
Thyroxine is usually not associated with major side effects. If you develop side effects you should immediately consult your doctor. The usual tests that we do in these situations are 8 am serum cortisol, electrolytes, free thyroid hormones. Low cortisol levels can cause these symptoms when started on thyroid medications.
If all tests are normal, you can try 1/2 the dose of thyronorm (12.5 mcg) or change the brand of thyroxine or take it at bed time 3-4 hours after dinner.
Hope the information was useful. If you have any further questions I will be hapy to help..
Regards
