What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?
Question: Hello,
I am 6 weeks and three days pregnant. And very much want to be a mom. Just came back from my ultrasound. Ive had conflicting opinions from doctors about whether I should terminate the pregnancy. I took two 30 mg pills of accutaine (old Px) near conception. The treating doctor said i should go to PP, but a family friend doctor specializing in high risk pregnancy said the baby would be fine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to HCM.
I understand your concerns since this is difficult decision. However I have few things to say. First, indication for such early abortion should be clear. It means that it is indicated when mothers life is in danger or there is no practical possibilitiy that baby can survive till the birth. Accuataine intake is not problematic for itself if there are no repercussions on fetus. This should be established by ultrasound and blood tests. Ask your gynecologist,what are the indications for termination. You have time to think ,discuss and do additional tests. If there are anomalies which are incompatible with life then abortion is justified decision. Everything else should be meticulously reconsidered. Wish you good health. Regards
