What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?
Question: hey i am about 18 weeks pregnant i had ultrasound done. but they cant tell if i am having a boy or girl. i really want to know what i am. having can you tell me what it looks like to you on my ultrasound. it shows the legs open and the arrow shows what the body part suppose to be. i have goggle pics related to mines and look boy but also look like girl i am lost

Assessment of sex of baby with a single still photograph of ultrasound cannot be done accurately. Since there is only a minor difference in the body parts of 18 weeks old baby different views need to be seen on an ultrasound - live picture to know the sex. This single image cannot suggest the sex of the baby accurately.

can a 2d ultrasound show me the gender? i made appt for monday. also if i am due in September did i get pregnant before christmas or after christmas? Because i had two periods in september im due september 25th

Only radiologist can detect.

Even in 2D ultrasound only the radiologist who is doing a scan can focus and detect the sex. it cannot be detected from the image provided with the scan report.
if your due date is September 25th then the date of last periods should be around 19th December and date of conception should be around the new year.
