Question: July 2015, 1 cm groin node after FNA came back normAl surgeon not concerned, nov 2015 right clavicular node, confirmed on ultrasound 1.3 cm extremely soft and moveable surgeon and radiologist again not concerned. Oct 2016 lower right neck pea size extremely moveavle lymph node, i didbt have it checked bc it showed after a viral infection. I can feel 2 on each side of the back of my neck all soft and moveable. Fast forward to two weeks ago, i can now palpate my virchow node (id say pea size soft and moveable) and then another on above it in the base of my left clavicle where it meets my neck again extremely soft and moveable. No illness since april 2017( cold) no symptoms, maybe itching but i think thats due to summer and peeling and dry skin, no weight loss or never a night sweat. Everyrhing ive read said this is sinister and my dr appt with my augeon is not until sept 14. I have a big trip to go on and i am scared bc i think i have lymphom or worse. I am a 30 year old female and young mother

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare magic and thanks for putting up the query
Lymphadenopathy is significant if the size of palpable node is more than 1 cm. As you said that the nodes are small, it is probably idiopathic lymphadenopathy I.e. no cause which is a common diagnosis reached after all investigations come out to be normal. My advice is you should get a Fnac done and if it is normal, nothing is to be done or worried about.
Fnac is a very good investigation that doctors rely upon.
Any further questions are always welcome.
Take care
Thanks and regards

Do you think waiting till sept 14 to see my dr is bad? I want to enjoy this trip but im scared i have cancer even though some of these nodes have been lile this for years and have no changed. Also can touching them make them bigger? Ive become ocd and always checking to see if theyre growing

hi
There is nothing to be worried about. You can definitely wait till September as it is there for years. Touching them repeatedly can cause infection and inflammation. So avoid that.

Lymphadenopathy

Detailed Answer:
Hi
The best way to clear the doubt is to get examined by an ENT SPECIALIST and get a Fnac done. A CECT can be done to reach the diagnosis.
If you don't have any symptoms like a chronic cough, difficulty in swallowing, weight loss or loss of appetite or bleeding from any site..you should relax till you are being examined for this.
Stay healthy
