What Does My Ultrasound Scan Report Indicate?
Question: Hi there. I had a medical abortion 5 and a half weeks ago and was diagnosed with an infecfion two weeks ago and put on doxycycline and flagyl. They suspected infection as i was having alot of pain and discomfort. About 5 days ago i started bleeding quite heavily. And now it has subsided but is still very bright red. They assume this to be a period but i am unsure. I had a blood test done that showed my white blood cell count low at 3.4. I am worried this is a sign of something worse such as sepsis. I am extremely exhausted and still feeling dizzy and unwell.
I had what they suspected to be retained products that they saw 2 weeks ago. They apparently did not see them on the ultrasound 3 days after i started bleeding (had ultrasound saturday morning)
Should i be concerned about this low WBC count and how i am feeling?
Please advise

As you bled it was clear and you took antibiotics for infection.
These symptoms could be due to low hb,infection and antibiotics.
You must drink a lot of water and took healthy and nutritious diet.
As you are not having any fever you should not be worried about low TLC count.

What is tlc? I have low WBC. I am worried that i am getting worse as i have been exhausted sleeping in bed all day. My hemoglobin is also normal. On the lab work i have low anion gap, low LDH, low Pco2 and low 02 saturation on all of the bloodwork done.

After given the abortion medication i was told about sepsis and how it can present whth no fever and low wbc count. As well as pain and bleeding which i am experiencing. I had flagyl for ten days and doxycycline for 14. I started two mondays ago. So exactly two weeks today. I am worried because theblood is still bright red one day five and I have pain on my left lower abdomen to my back and left butt. I am worried that it may be something worse and I need to seek medical attention. I was also taking doxycycline and flagyl and am finished the course and still experiencing pain. Further, while talking the doxy I was told not to lie down 30 mins after taking it becusss it affects the absorption. I forgot about this and was taking my medicine at 530am and going back to lie down to sleep. Could this be a reason as to why I still feel bad or not relatable? I'm concerned perhaps it wasn't absorbing through my body because I wasn't following that rule. With your gyno experience, would these alll be red flags as well as the low WBC count?

If you slept after taking doxy that does not affect its effects.
