Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for getting back
I have gone through the reports you have attached. Renal stone is one of the most common problem faced today and luckily it is easily treatable. For your wife no surgical intervention will be required, she will have to undergo lithotripsy where ultrasound waves will be put onto the stone and broken down into tiny pieces so that it can be passed out in the urine. It is a painless procedure and will not require admission to a hospital.
Few things are very important when it comes to diet
1. First and foremost would be to drink plenty of water. Upto 3 litres per day. Low water intake or constant dehydration is one of the common reasons for stone disease. It is important to make sure water is taken at smaller intervals rather than gulps of three in a day
2. Low salt diet, consuming less than 3 grams of salt ( 1 teaspoon is approx 2 grams) a day is important to reduce the recurrence of stones
3. There is no need to reduce calcium intake.
4.Food to avoid would be chocolates, red meat and legumes
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back ot me
Regards
