What Does My Urine Culture Report Suggest?

Question: Hi Doctor, I had an RIRS procedure last month. I just got my urine culture report back which says - Grams Stain - 'Few Pus Cells and Plenty of gram negative bacilli seen.". I do not have any other symptoms such as frequency of urination or burning or pain. What does this mean?
Brief Answer:
Mostly Asymptomatic bacteriuria

Hello Robnav,
Thanks for writing to us.
According you history and urine test mostly it suggest Asymtopmatic bacteriuria.
Any kidney related surgery or kidney stones can cause this condition.
Since you underwent RIRS procedure it could be the reason of Asymptomatic bacteriuria which does not cause any symptoms.
At this moment you does not require any treatment unless you develop symptoms like burning, painful urination and increase frequency of urination.
Drink Plenty of water which flush out all of your organisms from urinary tract.
