What Does Negative Antibody Testing After Three Months Of HIV Exposure Indicate?

Question: Hi doctor, i am from XXXXXXX XXXXXXX 9 year ago i had a sex with a sex worker, i used a condom given by the sex worker to me, so i dont know the quality of the condom. since then i have not tested for hiv. Recently i was going some kind of hiv symtoms like sevior head pain, loss of apetite, loss of fatigue, tiredness, some kind of infection in the surface of anus which is itching and pain during bowl and immedieately i went to govt hospital(ictc) and they did antibody test(hiv1 and hiv2) and both were non reactive, hense they told hiv negative. i was not satisfied so again i did a test in well known private hospital, Apollo, they did ELFA(hiv 1 and hiv2) and i repeated this test twice and for both it came non reactive. 1)Is my result is conclusive that i am hiv negative 2) since its been 9 year after exposer is the above tests(antibody, ELFA) are reliable, will sufficient antibody be present after 9 year to be detected by these mehods. doctor please help me out, i am very much worried. sorry for my english

I understand your concern.

In my opinion you are HIV negative. Allay fear of HIV.

Antibody testing done after three month are conclusive and should not be doubted.

In HIV reactive person life is only four to five years without ART (Anti Retroviral Therapy). So as if you are HIV reactive you won't live more than 5 to 6 years. So you are HIV negative.

Your symptoms might be having different cause. You should visit nearby infectious diseases specialists to examine your self thoroughly to diagnose your symptoms.

In case your antibody is depleted because of HIV , you have numerous other infections not only the anal problems.

Doctor thanks for your reply. Even i have tested for vdrl, hepatitus b all results are negative. Yesterday i shown to a dermatologist regarding the infection in anus , he told its external piles not herps or any other thing.i am really concern , back portion of my head is always paining. Doctor can i rely on the above anti body test thinking its conclusive or any further or any other test is required. I dont know any good doctor related to hiv in XXXXXXX can u please provide good doctor name in XXXXXXX
