What Does Negative Pregnancy Test After A Week Of Missed Period Indicate?
Question: hi, me and my gf had sex on april 6 using condom also checked the condom after sex ,it was unbroken.
and she was suppose to get her periods on april30
but now its may 13 ie 14 days delayed and she didnt get her periods yet.
she had tested with pregnancy test kit on 7th and 8th of may and both showed negetive
but we are still worried and have doubt that she is pregnent.( SHE HAVE THYROID PROBLEM)
if she is pregnent please suggest how to avoid it.

If the urine pregnancy test is negative after 8 days of missed period then it is unlikely that she is pregnant. Moreover further confirmation can be achieved with a serum beta hcg test.
Hypothyoidism untreated and also stress induced hormonal imbalance are major causes of delayed period during reproductive age if pregnancy test is negative.
If the test is negative then best would be to wait for 15 days post missed period to allow natural resumption of menses and if still menses are not resumed then she can opt for withdrawal bleed with progesterones.

Yes if the hypothyroidism is not treated and she's not taking any thyroxine tabs then it can even cause amenorrhoea for few months together as well.
