What Does Negative Vidas Duo Test After 5 Weeks Of Exposure Indicate?

Question: Aftet 5 week of exposer, vidas duo comes negative . So ie it conclusive?

Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Vidas Duo is a test which detects simultaneously HIV P24 antigen and antibody.It is usually a good test after 3 weeks after exposure .If it is negative i would rate it as conclusive.The sensitivity and specificity of the test is above 99%. it is a very good screening test.
So you can allay fears of HIV for now,Provided you do not have another exposure.
