What Does Nighttime Euphoria Followed By Feelings Of Calm And Peace Indicate?

Question: My 70 yr old husband has had two nighttime episodes this past week of suddenly feeling a warming sensation envelope his body, which he describes as an incredible calming, peacefulness like he's never felt before that leaves him feeling really thinking positively and energized, as though he can conquer all the projects around the house with no problems. Considering he doesn't exercise, is about 25 lbs overweight and has been under tremendous stress for the past six years with having to take care of just about everything on his own, since I became disabled that many years ago. He's typically been so stressed out these past few years that his current symptoms seem at complete odds with that. Does this signal any ideas to you that this could be something negative? I've heard of people who experience sudden feelings of doom before having a medical emergency but I just don't know what to think about it all. Thank you for your input. x. xxxxxxxxxx

Brief Answer:
It could be positive thing

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to acknowledge that to be XXXXXXX I do not what it is since I never encountered any person with similar experience after a prolonged stress.

However I also like to acknowledge that similar experiences are observed by many of the spiritual persons and I have experience of interacting with few of them. Many of them describe it a form of ecstatic behavior. On the scientific part I feel this is possible because chronic stress have some positive effects in form of improved resilience and determination leading to feeling of calming and eurphoric effect.

I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
