Question: question : wife having painful menses ultrasound on 3rd day of menses .findings: all normal except ovary rt ovary:27x22x16 , 4.89 cc & lft ovary:38x29x23 vol, 13.5 cc . does it show pregnancy or ovarian cysts.please advise thank you

Brief Answer: mo pregnancy Detailed Answer: Hello, Pregnancy can be ruled out if she is menstruating. Ovarian volume is increased and usually it occurs due to ovarian pathology like mass/cyst. Ultrasound usually shows it well. She needs further evaluation. Treatment will depend on what type of cyst it is.
