What Does Pain In Hip Joint Indicate?

default
Posted on Tue, 6 May 2014
Question: I am XXXXXXX . I have been having pain in my left joint of my hip for about 2 months. It started when I got up from a sitting position and couldn't walk without pain in the joint. It feels like it is in the crease of my front, side & back of the top of my leg. The area is where your underwear fits on your leg front and side. It I try to sit in an Indian position where you bring your feet together, I can't even begin to bring my leg & foot up towards my body without shooting pain in the area I am describing. What could this be. I use to be a gym person and a runner but have not done so in two years.

Brief Answer: Get x-ray done. Detailed Answer: Hi, I have gone through your query. I want to see your report of x-ray pelvis with both hips in AP view and x-ray lumbo-sacral in AP and Lateral view to make your exact diagnosis. It may be simple sprain, arthritis of hip joint etc. You should try to avoid squatting, sitting in Indian position and running as much as you can. Till x-rays are done you can take 1 tab. aceclofenac+thiocolchicoside by discussing it with your doctor. I hope it helps. You are welcome to ask further health related queries.
