What Does Pain In The Centre Of The Head Indicate?
Question: Hi my 55 year old mother has slight pain at a particular spot on her head top . There is no headache, no bumps around the spot or colour cahnge. This has been there for 2 months. Only when the spot is touched, she gets the pain. what might be the reason? what are the future diagnosis to be done?
Brief Answer:
She may require brain imaging.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have noted your mother's clinical details. These findings are suggestive of the involvement of nerve in the scalp (skin over the head).
Initial treatment with medications such as pregabalin capsules or amitriptyline tablets should be tried.
If she does not feel better, she would require a brain imaging such as MRI brain to exclude any underlying cause.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
