What Does Persistent Fever Even After Pneumonia Treatment Indicate?
Consider TLC
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal
I have read your query
I think I will be able to help you.
Now, pneumonia is a serious condition.
Most often this is a bacterial condition.
The same bacteria can remain in some part of the body after the pneumonia is healed.
Alternatively, the infection may have left the immunity weak.
This may allow minor viral and bacterial infections to happen recurrently.
And the last possibility could be that the fever may be happening due to fatigue- this may specially be considered if the fever comes in the evening or after heavy work.
Hemoglobin building up may show that your immunity may be building up as your nutritional statud builds up. Still, it does not tell us the status of infection. It is better to consider total leucocyte count instead of hemoglobin as a marker of infection.
I will therefore request you to consider the report of TLC- total leucocyte count, if done with hemoglobin. If this is normal, I think you wont have to worry too much. These may be minor infections that will resolve as your immunity builds. If this is high, you need to consider a serious reinfection that may need antibiotics again.
I hope that the information helps.

Thank you for your very informative answer. If you mean leukocytes in the urine I have plus 3. If you mean wbc they are normal.
Then its a possible urine infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the response.
That clearly indicates you are running with a urine infection- pus cells 3+
This possibly came from the catheter that may have been placed during pneumonia.
I would actually suggest a urine culture.
You will need plenty of fluids.
And antibiotics may be added as per the culture
I hope that helps.
