Question: I recently had an mri that revealed an incidental finding of a pineal cyst. The report says pineal gland measures 13mm but doesnt mention the size of the cyst. How do i determine from the report the size of the cyst ?
Brief Answer:
Normal size of pineal gland is 6-9 mm
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for your query.
The normal size of Pineal gland in the brain measure approximately 6–9 mm.
Since the MRI report says that your pineal gland measures 13 mm, the increase in size can be attributed to the presence of cyst in the pineal gland.
If possible, kindly upload the MRI report. It will be helpful for us to understand your concern better.
