Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.

leucocytes /WBC are not normally present in the stool. your fecal leucocyte count of 2 to 4 per HPF mean mild inflammation present.

This can be secondary to:

1) Shigellosis

2) Salmonella infection

3) Amoebiasis

4) Inflammatory bowel disease like Crohns disease/ Ulcerative colitis.

We need to know more details about your stool report, if it has any bacteria/ ova/ parasites . Stool culture is next step for confirmation of the bacterial infection and identifying the organism accurately.

I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Thakker.
