What Does Presence Of Pus Cells In Urine Test Report Indicate?

My wife is 7th month pregnant and recently she had blood test and urine test. In urine test we found the pus cell count is between 15 to 18. And doctor also did sonography and doctor said the child is weak. Weight of child is low. Child is moving and heart beat is also normal for baby. Does the reason behind low weight is due to pus cell. Kindly advice
Thank you
No, the pus cells have no connection with growth and development
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. No, the pus cells are common in pregnant women and is only indicative of (at the most) a mild urinary tract infection, and nothing more.
The growth issue your unborn child is facing is most probably due to some growth retardation, which can have many causes. The main advantage your wife and child have are that your wife is already in her 7th month of pregnancy, which means most of the growth and development has already taken place.
In such scenarios, the treating doctor prescribes steroids to help boost the growth and development of the baby, and this should really help so please do not think against it when/if your wife's doctor recommends it. Your wife may put on a certain amount of weight which is expected, but can lose this once your child has been delivered.
I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.

Everything normal in reports, totally unrelated to child growth
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.
I have gone through your attached images and here are my comments:
1. TSH is normal
2. There are a few extra pus cells in the urine, but this amount can be normal for a pregnant woman
3. Your TLC (total leukocyte count) is way within normal range, which proves that there is no ongoing infection in your wife's body, which means there is no infection at all (Good news)
4. Coombs test is negative
As discussed earlier sir, there is absolutely no abnormality or infection seen which can be the cause for the growth limitation in your growing child. Such things happen sir, and in most cases all your wife's doctor needs to do is to start your wife on steroids and the baby shall start growing and should be delivered completely normally.
Please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.

None of the medications you got help for child growth, but are for mother
Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.
I have viewed the attached medications and they are:
1. NutriRight- MOM: Provides a mother with essential nutrients, especially prescribed when the pregnant woman is weak
2. CoeHB: Contains vital nutrients that help the mother when she is weak
3. Vee C: Are a preparation containing a combination of 3 antibiotics, which has been prescribed suspecting a urinary tract infection (due to the pus cells)
4. Urikind-K: Is a syrup that helps treat symptoms like burning sensation while urinating, seen with a urinary tract infection
Please mention the other two medications also sir, as these may be the most important ones here. But all the above mentioned medications (i.e. 1,2,3,4) do not contribute to the child's growth and development, but contribute only to the mother.
In shaa Allah, you should get the remaining medications soon as well. If you do not, then speak to the prescribing doctor and get a substitute at the earliest.
Best wishes.
