Hi. I just submitted a Medical history and current meds. What is hypoperfusion?
Mistake in med history: BP was 108/73 not 108/80! Now it's 112/76. Pulse is 77.
Oximeter reads: 98.
Brief Answer:
Hypoperfusion means reduced extremity blood flow
Detailed Answer:
hi,
Clammy and cold extremities indicate reduced cardiac functioning. As she was already diagnosed with congestive heart failure, that must be the cause.
As long as her blood pressure remains above 100 (systolic), you need not worry. any further drop in BP or sudden rise in pusle over 100 or severe breathlessness on lying should warrant admission in a hospital.
Hypoperfusion means reduced extremity blood flow, causing distal areas loose their natural warmth, giving them a clammy feel.
Also take care that she does'nt develop bed sores as they are the last things a bedridden patient wants.
please donot hesitate to post if you want to learn anything more. All the best.
