What Does Recurring Fever Indicate Despite Taking Crocin And Benadryl?
Question: Hi Doctor,
My wife was having fever (between 99.5 and 100) around one week back along with headache, backache and cough. She took crocin advanced and benadryl syrup for 3-4 days and it was ok apart from some mild cold.
After a break of approx. 3-4 days, she got fever again yesterday night (99.8) and she took crocin advanced again and it was ok till the time of sleep. In the morning today she is again having fever 99.8, please suggest what could be the cause of getting fever again and what shall we do?
Regards,
Axxxr

Brief Answer:
Mostly Viral fever.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
I understand your concerns. Fever can be due to frequent weather changes or viral fever. There is nothing to worry. She can continue the symptomatic treatment such as taking dolo/crocin as and when required. I would suggest she takes adequate rest and hydrate herself thoroughly. Let her have plenty of fluids.
In case her fever persists or worsens then she can go for a complete blood count (CBC) and urine test.
I hope this answered your query.
