What Does Red Discoloration On The Hands And Forearms Indicate?
Question: I had a liver transplant in November of 2016. I am currently recovering and doing fairly well.
However I still get red blotches on my hands and forearms that just seem to appear and then gradually fade away. After the surgery I had many of them and large ones that eventually disappeared. But I still get them.
Any answer or treatment? Chuck

Brief Answer:
Due to immune reaction
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
The transplanted liver is a foreign entity that the body has to bear with. At times the body launches immune reaction to the transplant and you get the blotches. But as the immunity balances out, they fade off again. I presume that you are already on regular medication and apart from that you need no further treatment for the same.
