Question: I hit my knee on a trailer in December 2013. It has been bothering me and I noticed that it has like red splotchy lines right below my knee towards the outside. The pain is mostly right above my patella. It is just starting to worry me now since the injury was 3 months ago. I figured it would be gone by now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Brief Answer:
rest.hot compression.NSAID with serratiopeptidase
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using HCM. I went through the query and understood your concern. .
Since you have noticed red rash and also pain the cause for the symptom is due to the trauma which has injured the underlying tissues. If there was any swelling during the trauma the chance of tissue injuries like ligament or tendon tear or fracture is therem In most of the situations proper rest with mild analgesic like aceclofenac (NSAID) with serratiopeptidase along with hot compression will help in complete recovery.
Improper rest can cause repeated trauma and hence cause delayed healing.
For now you can continue the procedures I explained earlier and get gone one x ray knee joint just to rule out any minor fractures.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries and I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
Regards
