What Does Scattered Foci Of Flair Hyperintensity Mean?
Question: Can some one please tell me what this statement means as a result of mri's i had done last week "Scattered foci of FLAIR hyperintensity are seen in the right frontal and periventricular white matter. Findings are nonspecific XXXXXXX Should i be concerned?
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
I will tell you that MRI findings always should be correlated with clinical data. I have noted your complaints and MRI data.
This findings are non-specific and can be seen in people with high blood pressure, diabetes etc. This findings per se don't point towards any specific disease/condition. You need not worry at all.
Hope this helps
Please get back to me if you have any questions in this issue
