What Does Sinus Rhythm With Frequent Premature Ventricular Complexes Mean?
Question: I had a Doctors appointment today and the doctor did a EKG and said Sinus rhythm with frequent premature ventricular complexes T wave abnormality, consider lateral ischemia Abnormal EKG what does mean do I need to do follow up with a cardiologist ?
Brief Answer:
Consult immediately a cardiologist....
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXX!
First of all Your ECG should be checked by your doctor to confirm the Ecg machine report (what you're saying) . Secondly you should consult immediately and then followed up regularly by a cardiologist.
The ECG report has to things that concerned me.
1. Frequent ventricular premature complex
2. Lateral sign of ischemia.
This may be sign for severe cardiac problems.
If you were my patient I would suggest to do immediately:
- ECHO
- Ecg Holter monitoring
- stress test
Based on the results you should take the proper medications and further test ( such as angiography) may be needed.
Hope this was of help !
