What Does Slow Growth Rate Of Nails And Hair Indicate?
Question: 9 months ago my hair and finger/toe nails stopped growing. What would take 1 week to grow now takes anywhere from 3-4 weeks or longer. I've tried taking some hair and nail growth pill at GNC which didn't do much but make my nose bleed constantly.
Brief Answer:
Rule out thyroid diseases & anemia, take biotin supplements

Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
Slow growth of nails can be due to thyroid disorders, anemia, nutritional deficiencies and chronic ailments.
I would recommend you to rule out these disorders by getting your thyroid function tests, haemoglobin and serum ferritin levels checked.
Meanwhile take some hair and nail supplement tablets containing biotin and other nutrients like tablet adgain or tablet keraglo XXXXXXX once daily for 4-5 months.
