What Does Stomach Pain After Drinking Milk Indicate?

Question: My daughter is 6 years old and she is been complaining about stomach ache after having milk. We have got checked with a pediatrician and gave some medicines and after that she was ok, but started complaining the same issue.
Brief Answer:
It may be lactose intolerance
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for asking on this platform
Abdominal discomfort particularly after milk intake can be due to transient lactose intolerance.
I would suggest you to give some probiotic as it contains some bacteria which helps in digestion of lactose.
I would like to get a stool test done for reducing substance.
If it comes positive,it is better to avoid milk for few days.
Bestazyme contains amylase and papain enzyme. These does not help much in digestion of milk.
You can continue the syrup as it helps in digestion.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Regards

Thank you for the answer.
Is there an alternate medication that you can suggest and preferred food that can help to avoid this situation in future.
I would like to know what food to be avoided, since my kid likes to eat biscuits, bread, chocolate items, roti, jam, eggs, non-vegetarian more. She does not show interest in eating rice items.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
You can give all items if there is no intolerance
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up
Children of this age are very choosy regarding the food.
If she is tolerating well, you can give all the food items. No need to worry if she does not take rice.
I would suggest you to give some probiotics like bifilac/enterogermina.
If the intolerance to milk persists then avoid milk for few days.
Get stool test done for reducing substance (comes positive in lactose intolerance).
Lactase enzymes are available in the market but it is needed only in case of persistent lactose intolerance(deficiency of lactase enzyme).
As your baby is non vegetarian I won't get overly worried.
Most of the nutrient are met well in non veg diet.
You can give curd, yoghurt instead of milk.
I hope this helps.
I would be glad to answer if you have any more query.
