Brief Answer:
You are absolutely safe and 2 CT scans in one year is not dangerous.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

You please don't worry about radiation exposure. You are absolutely safe and 2 CT scans in one year is not dangerous at all.
Total radiation dose delivered to the patients due to two CT scan in one year is far below the maximum allowable safe dose.

Radiation dose varies with scanning of different areas like CT thorax may deliver 8 mSV,CT abdomen may deliver 10 mSV(with contrast),CT scan of brain may deliver 2 mSV.

Risk level is low due to these procedures. Now a days, multislice spiral technique is used in CT scan which delivers less radiation to patient as compared to previously used single slice machines.

Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.

Brief Answer:
CT scan is better for sinus imaging.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

CT scan is better for sinus imaging. In sinus imaging,it is important to assess bony erosion of sinus wall etc which can be better assessed by CT scan.

For cerebellar lesions,MRI is better.MRI is the investigation of choice for posterior fossa lesions.
