In the past I had always been told I had a high heart rate, now I wonder if it being low could mean it's losing its efficiency. Please advise your honest opinion as I have a disabled child and need to know what is what for his sake as well, thank you so much ~
It depends whether you have dizziness during physical activity
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,
For checking whether your complaints are associated with bradycardia or not we can try something.
1. You should pay attention whether you have dizziness during physical activities
2. Try to do some physical activity and check your pulse before, during and after it If your heart rate increases more than 75-80 bpm during physical activity, then everything is ok and your complaints are not associated with slow heart rate.
If it doesn't increase or increases with 10 bpm or less, and you have dizziness during physical activity, then your complaints may be associated with slow heart rate. In this case I would advise you to see your doctor once more.
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
In case of further questions don't hesitate to ask

Welcome back
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mrs,
Your complaints can be connected also with your anxiety.
Heart rate of 58 bpm is not abnormal, but if you always had high heart rates, there are many reasons, that can lead to decrease in heart rate. It can be metabolic, can be as a result of electrolyte disbalance, thyroid problems, anxiety etc.
