Question: My daughter had a CT scan with contrast of abdomen and pelvis on Dec 9, 2014. The following was written In the impression portion of the medical report. Bibaslir stele tasks and ground-glass opacification airspace disease left greater than right lung base. She had test because she has pancreatitise

1.The lung findings what mentioned in the CT are incidental findings seen during the abdomen scan.
2.They are seen as a basal ground glass opacities - which are seen in case of the infective and inflammatory lung conditions.
3.Which are also seen as a basal alveolar collections as a gravitational changes.
4.As a precautionary a chest x-ray - in case of any findings a detail chest HRCT - high resolution computer tomography will be helpful.
5.No active treatment required if there is no obvious symptoms seen. But to be safe side a chest x-ray and request treating doctor to listen to the chest.
6.In case of any findings a course of antibiotics with follow-up imaging will be definitive.
