What Does The Abdominal CT Scan Report Indicate?
OVERALL, NOTHING TO WORRY FOR THE FINDINGS!
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thanks for sharing your CT-abdomen reports with us!
There are normal and relatively abnormal findings in the report as follows:
1. normal findings: the visualized lung bases and the isodense 1.5 cm left upper quadrant nodule possibly spenule (ectopic collection of normal splenic tissue) or it could just be an enlarged / reactive lymph node!
No fluid collection anywhere.
2. relatively abnormal findings: a 4 mm nonspecific pleural based hypodense nodule in the left lower lobe seen on image 2 mm left lower lobe benign calcified granuloma is present....
SUBCENTIMETRIC SOLITARY NODULES ARE VERY COMMON IN NORMAL POPULATION; They just remind us of some remote asymptomatic healed inflammatory processes and is part and parcel of our immune response; anyways they do not signify tuberculosis or malignancy...! Moreover, this hypodense pleural nodule could be some benign mesothelial nodule/cyst also; no reason to worry in any case!
ENLARGED UTERUS: This might indicate uterine pathology like adenomyosis OR fibroids; CA-125 test is recommended if periods are painful...!
Regards,
