Brief Answer:
Suggests loosening of implant.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The CT scan report suggests that the hip implant is displaced and the bones show an evidence of osteoporosis. The implant has loosened up and has damaged the cortical surface of the bone.
This usually happens due to age related bone thinning and the screws gradually get loosened up.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

What can be done for my husband??? He first had hip pinning---than the ball came apart and the screw gouged the bone---thne they cleaned that up and did the hip replacement. Now it is failing what can be done to help him. We need help!!!
Brief Answer:
Revision hip replacement is needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The failing hip replacement needs to be revised. His bones are so weak that they are not able to hold the screws properly and cannot hold the implant in correct position. He needs to start with calcium supplements and the implant needs to be fixed properly with the help of bone cement next time.
Hope my answer is helpful.
